Autumn in the Pacific Northwest

All the trees are turning here. It only seems like yesterday that the trees were growing full of leaves and blooming and now they are loosing their leaves again!
What a beautiful season though!

I am 100% Disabled

I cannot believe it! I was evaluated by the VA over 2 years ago as 100% disabled with unemployability. When this occurred, for some darned reason, I didn't think this meant what it meant, if that makes any sense. So I have been filing reports in get my 90% disability increased to 100% so I would be covered for Dental with the VA also. Well, I already have been!
So I was paying for dental insurance and paying high copays for my dental cleanings and work for the last tow years!
At least I found out now!

I'm Back!

I have been SOooo busy lately with VFW & Military Order of the Cootie issues that I haven't had time for my Blog!
All is settling down now and I should get back to normal...My normal!
I DID receive a questionnaire from the VA today that I filled out right away!
It was in response to my Primary Care Doc placing me in the Chronic Pain and Back Pain classes. This paperwork looks like they will be delving into other pain relief possibilities!
OH! I hope! I hope!

It's Still A Man's World!

Is was reminded tonight how it is still a man's world, in places like the VFW.
I am a rare breed as a Female Post Commander.
I have been recruiting new members like mad and recently fell into the position of District Commander. So at our Post meeting last night I had plenty of issues to deal with prior to the meeting getting started and I had forgotten to have my membership committee sign the one new membership application I had.
Sure enough these guys went Ape!
No-"Wow that's 17 members in two months you've brought in now!" NO! They have to compaine and it went on for a spell until my Quartermaster and Senior Vice told them to quite bitching about me!
I then pounded my gavel and got us moving on.
But I am sick and tired of these pains in the behind! I know!! They would NEVER treat another man like that!

I'm 100% & didn't realize it!

That's right! I am fully 100% disabled with unemployabiblity with the VA. I have been for two years, only I hadn't realized that it meant my full physical disabilities. Must have had a screw loose for two years!
So, what this means is I have been paying for lousy dental insurance and still paying high co-pays for two years for no reason! UGH! The Calamity of it! At least it is resolved now and I will not need to keep submitting more VA forms for further disability.

Thanks Mary-Kay!

I have been told quite often lately that I am looking fresh and my skin looks good!
I have Mary-Kay to thank! I am using their anti-aging lotion and micro-dermabrasion and I DO feel the difference!
Like the LOREAL commercial says 'Because I'm worth it!'
If you haven't tried Mary-Kay, you should and remember it is a organization with positive employment for women! That is another reason I support the products!

EVIL nosy Old Neighbors

My Backyard is abutted to another backyard of the nosy neighbors that feed my other neighbors dogs, whatever they feed the dogs always makes the dogs sick. Now I hear they call the fire Dept. On the dog neighbors for weeds abatement!
SHEESH get a life and live it!

I HATE DOGS! (BARK)

It's not that I really hate dogs as much as I hate lousy owners of at least the dogs in my area!
The neighbors on both sides of me have dogs. On neighbor has 2 dogs outside in the back yard 24/7. The dogs get bored and see through the chainlink fence someone walking along the street and they bark. The squirrel who lives in my tree will be out foraging and they will bark!
Then the neighbors on my other side have a runt of a dog and they leave their door open so the dog can just go in and out as he pleases with no concern of a leash law! The dog wanders around and is barking the entire time! I suppose he's pissed off because he's a small runt dog, but I should have to hear the noise!
I hate the neighbors and their dogs!

School Starts Soon!

I am so happy and will be happier once school starts!
Living on the bell end of a Cul-de-Sac and a neighborhood full of kids, they are out late and all day loud and misbehaving!
I will be so glad when school starts soon because I will have peace and quiet during the afternoon, less the neighbors dogs who enjoy barking!

Free-Loaders

I am a bit pissed about free-loaders. I have mentioned I am an officer in the VFW & my City has an Air Show this weekend. I came up with the idea of having a recruiting booth at the Air Show last year, but not having any network to build upon, my Comrades at one of my local Posts in my District did and got it together!
Wouldn't you know that there are few Comrades wanting to put out the effort and work the recruiting booth, but sure would like passes to get into the Air Show free!

Re-reading Harry Potter

I am in between books I've requested at the library and so I have started to re-read the Harry Potter books. This idea came to me after the last book came our earlier this summer. There seemed to be a jump in personalities etc in the 6th book and I decided I couldn't remember the books well enough and the movies of the first three can cloud the truth of the books. So I am really enjoying them again and have found that there a slight sinews I missed the first time that I am picking up this time! I suppose I will make them, maybe not an annual read like The Lord of The Rings, but ever few years!
