My anime hair color is White.

My Tarot Card is The Emperor Card!

I took the test & found I am the Emperor Card!
It says: You are the Emperor card.
The Emperor leads the way into the world that
The Empress allowed us to experience.
He is the archetype of the Father who provides the organization and structure of the world.
The Emperor is the government,
and as such represents control.
At this stage in The Fool's Journey,
there is no need to deviate from the status quo.
By participating actively in society, we come to an understanding of social structure.
The Emperor applies the laws and rules for us to follow. The Emperor is the first of the zodiacal attributions in the major arcana.
He shares with Aries a creative energy and,
at his best, responsibility for the subjects in his charge.
At his worst he can become domineering and authoritarian.

Too Much Screaming From Kids These Days!

Is it just me or do you also find that more kids these days scream!
I have noticed it on TV & here in my neighborhood.
I have two little girls in my neighborhood who will scream at the top of their lungs!
It is very annoying & quite distressful as that I am a veteran of the Bosnia/Kosovo campaigns.
I certainly believe in screaming if you see a car bomb or land mine go off, but these kids have no reason to scream!
They should also know that when something terrible might happen no one will come to their aid because we all are so used to hearing them scream!
I have talked to the parents and children both till I was blue as this print! They just don't get it & I am to the point of sending them my PTSD Pysch bill from the VA!
Nothing constructive can come from screaming...
Unless you are having fun on a roller coaster!

The First Formula 1 Race behind The Bamboo Curtain!

That's right Race Fans!
Yesterday was the first Formula 1 race
held in Shanghai, China!
Rubens Barrichello took Ferrari to the 1st place finish line with Jenson Button
bringing his BAR-Honda in second.
Kimi Raikkonen followed in 3rd
with his Mclaren-Mercedes.
It was a day of good racing.
And to find Ralf Schumaker back
after his accident six races ago.
We find Jacqeus Villeneuve back in his Renault after a period of retirement.
Michael Schumaker had some mechanical difficulties at practice causing him to have to start in pit lane. Nothing like having to wait in pit lane for the start only to have to gas up and have your wheels mounted before starting a race! What a penalty!
Good thing he already has the Championship
in the bag for himself and Ferrari!
I am glad to see China getting some of the action & that it was Formula 1 to bring it there!
Nothing like a Sportsmanship to bring peace
amongst nations!

May we Find Peace from Within!

With tonight being Kol Nidre & tomorrow Yom Kippur,
I hope we all find a little peace within ourselves.
I then hope this peace we find can then be shared with all
so that all can find this peace & then maybe the world
will be a little brighter!

Political Books to Look for & Read

I received a wrongful Email from a friend...
of a friend...You know how they go.
After only a few minutes I was able to dispel the nonsense as just that, nonsense!
I enjoy reading & considering I am a disabled vet, circa the Bosnia & Kosovo conflicts,
I have plenty of time on my hands,
when not Commanding my VFW Post
here in the Pacific North-West!
I delight in handing you this list of
exceptional reads,
that maybe you will find one
or two that will strike your fancy!
(I am being a bit forward on the last three,
Barach Obama's, Mark Crispin Miller's & Bob Woodward's, as that I have yet to read these.
I know about these individuals & believe their
Books will be of great value to us in the political venue.)
So, read away dear friends
& as my dear sister would say:
"Don't get stressed out too much!"

BS! The Whopper Rocks!

So I decide to forgo the usual dinner salad, after my workout, & take a little trip up to
Burger King.
They have a deal right now of a free music down load with every Whopper purchase.
I'm not advertising for them, just stating a fact.
So, I have my Whopper dinner & then notice I have not one, but 2 music codes for free down loads!
I'm a big music fan, aren't we all!
So I hopped on to my trusty computer,
only to find a VERY non-user friendly AOL music system!
Now I know I shouldn't have to use all my 142 IQ to get this project accomplished,
but the freaking thing is so AOL'd I couldn't get passed them telling me to download the updated version of sound!
Like, get over yourself!
So...I'll make the first person to help me a deal!
I'll give you one of these freaking codes if you can tell me how the freaking AOL BS works!
I know now why I will NEVER allow AOL in my home!

If You Are A Fan Then Promote It!

I believe that if you like something or enjoy something you should promote it!
If you are a true Movie Fan, you go to the first week showing of a movie right!
Well I believe this should be stretched into the music & publication arena as well!
I am a True Fan of Wanda Sykes & was sorry her TV show "Wanda At Large" didn't make it.
She tells it like it is & that means being honest in the face of her possible adversaries!
This makes her a truly funny comedian.
So rather than placing her book on request at my local library, as I have with all my other reads this year, I already have her book on order from Amazon.com, who supplied the photo.
So if you enjoy good stand up & honest comedy, then check out her book "Yeah, I said it!"
or her new show "Wanda Does It"
airing on Comedy Central beginning in October!

The Ryder Cup 2004

Colin Montgomerie Winning his singles match Sunday for the clincher for Euro to retain the Cup!
Well...The Euros not only kept the Cup, but Won it!
They started off Friday with a clean front & kept that run throughout the week!
It has been said that the Euros/Brits-(When it was only the British against the Americans, prior to 1979, when we then agreed to allow in great players from, other than British areas, then titled it Euro Team.)
are best at the team matches & they proved that this week!
The strength in US singles matches was at a lost when they started Sunday's matches at a 5-11 loss!
It was the largest spread in Ryder Cup history &
even with the strength of singles matches, the US was defeated.
It was a Great match!

We'll meet again in 2006 in Ireland, for the first time!
Some rules for those of you who don't follow Ryder Cup:
Played every 2yrs with 2 breaks in play,
from 1937-1947 for WWII.
Also again, a skip in the game at 2001,
played in 2002 because of 9/11.
1st day heats feature 8 matches between 2-man teams-Foursomes, or alternate shot matches & four four-ball, or best-ball matches.
The format stays the same for the second day of matches.
The final day features 12 singles matches.
Since most of the play here in the US is Singles type matches from within the PGA, it isn't a wonder that we are best at singles overall.
Some personal bests;
Most Appearances, Most Matches Played, Most Points Won & Most Matches Won:
American: Billy Casper 8, 37, 23.5, 23.5, in that order.
Euro: Nick Faldo 11, 46, 25.0, 25.0, in that order.
For us Pacific North Wersterner's, we can be proud that it was in 1947, the first game after WWII, was played in Portland, Oregon!
For Southern Californian's, be proud that it was in 1955 that the Ryder Cup was played in Palm Springs!
The Ryder Cup has been played at the Belfry in, 1985, 1989 & 1993. The US won in 1993, while Euro won in 1985 & kept the cup on a tie in 1989.
Now that Golf & Formula 1 have only a couple months left of their seasons,

I look forward to my favorite winter sport of Curling!

Colder Climate in the Pacific Northwest

The local Pacific North West Meteorologist says that our colder temps & wetter weather is due to Ivan.
Well...If this is all we get compared to my Shipmates in the southern States then...
We can't complain!

Jail for Martha Stewart

So Martha has asked the court to allow her to begin her jail sentence as soon as possible.
Fox News says that Martha has already begun to buy friends in the Danbury Correction Institution, where she believes they will send her.
Whatever the case may be, Martha has paid for it & suffered immensely already!
It's time to take her off the radar & let her rebuild her life!

Meet "Rusty Metallica!"

He is the latest addition to my front yard!
He is a custom job, welded from a rake head, cut into 2 pieces, a shovel head, bicycle forks for his legs, a hand rake for the top of his head, a tractor plow pick for his beak & washers for his eyes.
His feet are gold coloured spines welded together.
I got him at a VFW auction
& he fits my very eclectic house!

Oprah Deserves Sainthood!

Well...She did it again folks!
She made an entire audience happy!
She also made the dream of a lifetime to a Homeless girl & to a woman caring for 8 foster children!
First off, her spectacular secret was an eventful
surprise with Paramedics on hand just in case!
After a few teases...We find the entire audience
has received a brand new Pontiac G6!
Not only that! The audience was hand picked as people desperately needing a new car!
The surprise was that all the cars were right there in the studio parking lot!
Oprah also aided a girl in need.
Having been homeless since she was 13 & living with a family member then on the streets,
her goal was to be the first woman in her family to finish high school!
Not only did she do this, she went on to Jr. College,
although due to her homelessness, could ill afford to keep up with it. Oprah's friend Tyra Banks came to the rescue and helped this girl by giving her a full model make over with a photo shoot!
Then Oprah brought in a woman who's company is giving this girl a full scholarship for tuition, books, room & board to the college of her choice! Oprah added a $10,000 new wardrobe to the purse!
The last surprise for the day was for a woman who is foster parent to eight children. She recently found out that the house she rents is going up for sale & thus her family will be homeless by October.
Oprah's Angel Network not only bought the house for her, gave her a $30,000 remodeling check & new appliances and furniture, to include plasma screen TV's and computers!
If Oprah isn't a living Saint on earth then there is no such thing as Saints!

Ferrari Team Wins a 1-2 at Home in Monza, Italy!

I called this race before it even began!
Boy am I glad I was right!
For quite some time Jenson Button,
Driving for BAR-Honda, had the lead.
Then two incredible things happened.
Rubens Barrichello caught up with Button &
with the power of Ferrari under him took a pass, thus taking the led from Button.
Then all of a sudden Michael Schumaker made a brilliant catch and pass on a turn leaving Button in third place! We all thought Button had the lead in the bag!
Barrichello still had to pit for more fuel to make it to the finish line. So he pulled some extreme driving and succeeded in creating more than a 23 second lead to allow enough time to pit.
It would take at least 2.5 seconds to give the car enough fuel to make it to the finish.
Rubens Barrichello pulled it off. A 5.5 second pit time, allowing sufficient time for fuel & a set of new tyres for the last 10 laps!
It was a marvelous race filled with excitement.
Luckily Jenson Button still made the podium & gave BAR-Honda more constructor points, although Schumacher's 12 season wins, not only puts him in the history books as the only pilot to accomplish this, has already tied up the championship for himself & Ferrari!
Three more races still to come,
with the Chinese Grand Prix at Shanghai
next on the 29th of this month!
It'll still be good racing and
more points up for grab for 2nd & 3rd places.

Movie Weekend Review

I saw an interesting group of movies this weekend!
The first being "The Secret Window."
I recommend only REAL Johnny Depp fans see this, as that, for a Steven King story, it leaves little to be surprised about & I have to say it only makes a B+ on my list.
The next movie is an A++!
"Mystic River!" Way to go Clint! You did yourself proud!
No question that Sean & Tim both earned
every ounce of the Oscar gold for their performances, considering Clint won't take more
than 2-3 takes per shot you know they had to get it right & quick to earn the Oscar on an Eastwood film!
The last weekend movie on my list is
"The Passion of the Christ."
You have to be slightly sadistic to enjoy this movie!
I can see the emphasis on Catholic belief & of course the filmmaker, director is Catholic.
No one relishes pain & there is no question you are left with the pain of the Christian Messiah.
Like most movies, of this topic, the history of the time is ignored.
This period of time, in history, was engulfed with lunatics posing as the Messiah. Jewish Prophets had long claimed this particular period to be the possible period for the Messiah.
There had been many calling themselves the Messiah & even Monty Python took this to a greater height in their motion picture "The Life of Brain."
There was, literally, a Messiah on every street corner at this time, so why would the Jews believe in this particular one, especially since he came from a southern Provence of Nazareth which to them was full of backward thinking folk!
They had already suffered after believing in another who claimed to be their messiah.
As stated in "A History of The Jews"
by Paul Johnson 1987 pg. 141~
"Simon bar Kokhba or Kosiva is one of the most enigmatic personalities in Jewish history,...Simon did make messianic claims and his name Kokhba or 'star' referred to the prophecy in Numbers 'there shall come a star out of Jacob and a scepter shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab and destroy all the children of Sheth.' A rabbinic source says he was recognized as Messiah by the greatest scholar of the age, rabbi Akiva ben Joseph (c. 50-135 A.D.)"
All the movie left me with was the surprise of maybe the first Chiropractor to be recognized in film credits!
Let's hear it for Kevin Michaels!

Helpful Hint for Windows XP Users

I had long forgotten this helpful assist, most likely because I'd not needed it.
If your computer is set up like mine so that Windows updates automatically notify you of new updates to be installed. Then this might just help you out sometime.
Unfortunately not all the updates or new tools will be appropriate for your system.
If in fact this happens...
after you have installed the new downloads,
then remember this helpful tool.
Go to your start button & click it.
Then click Programs & then click accessories.
After accessories, click System Tools & then
choose system restore. The window will open to a calendar where you can choose a bolded day prior to the day & time of the install.
Choose a day & the system will recover your computer
back to its previous set up of the date you chose.
Also as a rule BEWARE of updates! Take it from me!

The School Year Begins!

I am so happy!
The school year now begins as of tomorrow,
Tuesday~september. 6th,
here in the Pacific Northwest!
I am glad!
With so many tax cuts & our budget going
to a Very Expensive Offensive War in IRAQ,
there is little money left for after school activities, such as the parks and recreation.
Many schools have forgone extra-curricular activities like music & sports, leaving the children with nothing to do during the summer & after school.
The parents of these children,
many of them Republicans,
aren't doing anything to assist these
children & direct them along positive paths.
I can only hope our voting, this fall,
aids our counties library system and...
that we finally clean the slate
of the error our Supreme Court
left us with 4 years ago!
I have had to call the local police over children in my neighborhood, shooting pellet guns at eachother!
What is next!
I want after school sports and programs back!
I want an Administrator, in office,
that cares about US,
not the business man that supported them into office!
At least, for now, the kids are going back to school
and my neighborhood will be quiet in the afternoon!

The Hurricane or the speech!

Well Folks
My fear vacillates between Hurricane Charlie hitting Florida, while having loved ones living there, and the closing of the RNC, with Bush's speech tonight!
Which will hit harder?
If I have never prayed before...
I think now is a good time to start!
As many of us do, I send my loving thoughts and prayers to Floridians and also a hope that an even small minutiae of intelligence strikes a few Republicans and they realize 4 more years would kill us all!

Need I say MORE! Posted by Hello

I know this isn't the kind of President I want for the next 4 years! Posted by Hello
